Russia Calls for Restraint After Trump's Warnings to Iran

Russia has called on all parties involved to exercise restraint following warnings from former US President Donald Trump to Iran. Trump had hinted that Tehran may be working to restore its weapons programs, threatening further strikes. Moscow, which has strengthened its ties with Iran since the start of the war in Ukraine, stressed the need for dialogue with Tehran and rejected any step that could escalate tensions in the region. Russia and Iran have signed a treaty of strategic cooperation, and the West accuses Tehran of supplying Russia with missiles and drones. Trump referred to previous US strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities, while Russia maintains close cooperation with Iran despite international pressure.
