Russia: Shocking Video Shows Helicopter Crash After Entanglement with Cables

A private Robinson R44 helicopter crashed in the Perm region of the Ural Mountains in Russia, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. A video circulating online shows the helicopter becoming entangled in cables above the runway and falling into the snow. The victims have been identified as Ilyas Gimadutdinov, founder of the transport company Tattranskom, and Elmir Konyakov, an employee of the same company. Russian authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash, which has been classified as a “catastrophe” by Rosaviatsiya. Reports also suggest the flight was unauthorized. Generally, cables pose a significant hazard for low-altitude flights, as they are difficult to detect in time.
