Russian Protest in Nicosia Over Zelensky's Visit

A protest took place in Nicosia by Russian citizens, expressing strong disagreement with the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Cyprus. Approximately 40 people gathered on Griva Digeni Street, demonstrating against the Ukrainian leader's presence on the island. Zelensky's visit is linked to Cyprus assuming the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Earlier in the day, members of the Ukrainian diaspora in Cyprus held a peaceful rally in Eleftheria Square, expressing their support for Ukraine.
