Scheduled Roadworks on Motorways – Lane Closures and Traffic Restrictions

The Public Works Department has announced a series of scheduled works to be carried out on motorways across Cyprus in the coming weeks. The works include the installation of variable message electronic signs, road marking and the replacement of safety barriers on bridges. The works will be carried out on motorways in the provinces of Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos and Famagusta. In some sections, lanes will be closed or traffic restricted, while in others traffic will be diverted via alternative routes. Specifically, works will be carried out on the A2 (Nicosia-Larnaca), A3 (Larnaca-Limassol), A1 (Limassol-Nicosia) and B7 (Paphos-Polis). Drivers are urged to be particularly careful and to follow the signage of the construction sites to avoid accidents and delays. The works are expected to improve the safety and functionality of the motorways, but it is important for drivers to be informed of the scheduled interventions and to adjust their driving accordingly.
