Syrian Kurds Protest in Cyprus Against Attacks on Rojava

Kurdish residents in Cyprus held a protest and marched towards the House of Europe and the Parliament, demonstrating against attacks on Rojava (Syria). In their announcement, PYD Cyprus stated that the will of the Kurdish people is being targeted and their very existence is threatened. The protesters delivered a report to the House of Europe, titled “Save Rojava – Kurdistan”, denouncing war crimes by Turkey and calling for the prevention of ISIS regrouping. They also condemn a policy of extermination against the Kurdish people, similar to that applied to other communities in Syria, and the release of ISIS prisoners due to the withdrawal of Kurdish forces. Kurds from various parts of Kurdistan are heading to Rojava to participate in the resistance, while the situation in Kobani is described as critical, with disruptions to basic services and displacement of civilians.
