“The Cause Has Been Identified” Says HIO – NCR Under Scrutiny for GESY System Issues

The Health Insurance Organization (HIO) announced that the cause of the technical problems experienced in the GESY Information System has been identified. The contractor, NCR Cyprus Ltd, has already implemented a temporary technical fix to limit the impact. A meeting was held under the presidency of the Minister of Health, Neofytos Charalambides, with the participation of the HIO and NCR Cyprus Ltd, to discuss the issue and develop a comprehensive action plan for the definitive restoration of the problems. The action plan is expected to be finalized immediately and implemented in the coming days. The HIO is closely monitoring the progress of the issue and expects full cooperation from the contractor. GESY providers will be systematically informed of developments, and a new official update will be provided upon completion and implementation of the action plan. The HIO is committed to the rapid restoration of the smooth operation of the GESY Information System.
