The Superpower Playing with Fire

Donald Trump, according to analysts, appears to be moving away from the role of a political leader and seeking to impose his personal agenda on the world stage. The constant questioning of the legitimacy of the 2020 elections and the granting of pardons to those involved in the Capitol attack are considered politically dangerous actions. Trump's foreign policy is characterized by coercive diplomacy and disregard for allies, as seen in the re-emergence of the demand to buy Greenland and the warning of “retribution” to those who do not comply with US positions. His promises for a quick solution to the war in Ukraine are considered unfeasible and are met with skepticism by international actors. His refusal to acknowledge reality and his desire to impose his will, especially in a country with nuclear weapons, are causing concern. The West is called upon to face not only its adversaries but also its inability to react to Trump's provocative behavior. Europe, in particular, must take action to address Russia's efforts to divide and delegitimize Western institutions and to support American diplomacy.
