Three More Arrested in Connection with Cyprus Murder Linked to TikTok Dispute

Three more individuals, aged 34, 31, and 25, have been arrested by the Police in connection with the murder of the 41-year-old in Peyeia on Saturday. A total of four people are now in custody, including a 29-year-old who was already arrested and is under an eight-day detention order. The victim, a Bulgarian national, succumbed to his injuries at Paphos General Hospital, after being transferred there with a knife embedded in his abdomen. The autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow, January 19th. According to the Police, the individuals involved had traveled to Peyeia from Limassol to resolve a misunderstanding. During the meeting, the victim allegedly damaged the suspect's vehicle with a piece of wood, resulting in the 29-year-old stabbing him. The suspect then allegedly injured another 29-year-old before fleeing. The initial suspect admitted to the stabbing, but claimed he did not intend to kill his uncle. The Court approved his eight-day detention, as the investigation is at an early stage. The case appears to be linked to a dispute that arose through TikTok.
