Former US President Donald Trump threatened to impose new tariffs of up to 25% on products from certain European countries, including Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland. The threat is accompanied by a peculiar condition: the tariffs will remain in effect until the United States gains full ownership of Greenland. Trump announced that the tariffs will increase gradually, starting at 10% on February 1st and reaching 25% on June 1st, 2026.
