Two Brothers Held for Six Days in Connection with Attempted Murder in Limassol

Two brothers, aged 30 and 20, have been remanded in custody for six days following a court decision, in connection with the attempted murder of a 36-year-old man that took place on December 20th in Limassol. The two men had been wanted and were arrested on January 3rd by the Police of the British Sovereign Base Areas (SBAs) after a dramatic boat chase in the Ormideia area. Police are investigating offenses such as conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, assault, possession of weapons, and carrying a knife. According to police, the victim was attacked by a group of people in a cafe, where one of the perpetrators stabbed him, causing a serious injury to his left shoulder blade. The father of the two brothers is also wanted, as he allegedly intervened to secure the boat used for their escape.
