Two Historic Visits to Cyprus

Two historic visits took place in the Republic of Cyprus last year. One concerned the visit of the Prime Minister of India last June and the President of the UAE just last month. During the time that has passed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Konstantinos Kombos, continued the outward-looking policy with continuous travels and contacts. Informatively, the following are mentioned: 49 trips abroad were made to a total of 26 countries. 154 bilateral meetings abroad were also held, 46 official bilateral meetings and 80 bilateral meetings on the sidelines of International Conferences/UN General Assembly. In addition, 24 visits by foreign officials to Cyprus were made, 31 agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed and 12 policy consultations took place.
