Venezuelan President: “Enough with the orders from Washington”

The interim president of Venezuela, Delsy Rodríguez, has called on the US to stop interfering in her country's internal affairs. Rodríguez stated that politicians in Venezuela must resolve their differences on their own, without foreign influence. This call comes after the capture of President Nicolás Maduro by US special forces and the subsequent statement by Donald Trump that Washington would dictate decisions in Venezuela. Rodríguez has already signed agreements with the US for oil and has promoted legislative reforms. The White House announced that it would invite Rodríguez to Washington, following a phone call with Trump. Simultaneously, 104 political prisoners have been released as part of the agreements.
