Voluntary Recall of Nestle Infant Formula in Cyprus Due to Potential Contamination

Following instructions from Nestle, VASSOS HADJIADIS LTD is initiating a voluntary recall of specific batches of NAN EXPERTpro Lactose Free 400g (batch 51520346AD, expiry date 30/06/2027) and NAN EXPERTpro Sensitive Plus 400g (batch 51250742C1, expiry date 30/11/2026) infant formula available in Cyprus. The recall is a precautionary measure due to the potential presence of cereulide, a toxin produced by the Bacillus Cereus microorganism, in an ingredient supplied to Nestle. Currently, there have been no confirmed reports of illness related to the consumption of these products. However, Nestle is proceeding with the recall for safety reasons and in accordance with its strict quality and safety protocols, having already informed the relevant authorities. Consumers are advised not to use the products and to return them to the point of purchase for a refund or replacement, without the need for a receipt. The company assures that other batches of the products are safe for consumption. Nestle apologizes for any concern this may cause and emphasizes that the safety and health of infants are its top priority. Consumers can contact the customer service line at 22897300 for further information.
