Volunteering Fills the Gaps Left by the State

The Pan-Cypriot Coordinating Council of Volunteering (PCCS) is calling on citizens to join the Volunteer Network to help vulnerable families. However, the need for such appeals highlights the state's failure to provide adequate support to these groups. While volunteer initiatives are important, they are merely temporary solutions and do not address the root causes of poverty and social exclusion. A long-term solution requires stable policy decisions and sufficient state funding.
