Von der Leyen to Visit Cyprus for Start of EU Council Presidency

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will visit Nicosia on Wednesday to officially launch Cyprus' EU Council Presidency. Following a meeting in Paris regarding the Alliance of the Willing for Ukraine, von der Leyen will travel to Cyprus and then to Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon on Thursday. The visit marks the beginning of the Cypriot presidency and the assumption of significant responsibilities by Cyprus within the EU.
