A change in the weather is expected from tomorrow, Thursday, with rain, snow and strong winds. Until Thursday evening, the area will be affected by high pressure, while gradually it will begin to be affected by low pressure. There will be intermittent sparse dust in the atmosphere. Today, the weather will be intermittently cloudy, with northeast to southeast winds light to moderate (3-4 Beaufort) and locally moderate. The temperature will rise to 20 degrees Celsius inland, around 21 on the coast and 15 degrees Celsius in the higher mountains. Tonight, the weather will remain partly cloudy, with northeast to east winds light to moderate. The temperature will drop to around 9 degrees Celsius inland, around 12 on the coast and around 8 degrees Celsius in the higher mountains. On Thursday, increased cloud cover will be observed and in the evening local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected, starting from the west and extending to the whole island. Snow or sleet is expected in the higher peaks of Troodos, while winds will strengthen locally. Rain, thunderstorms and snow in the mountains are expected on Friday and Saturday. The temperature will remain above average for the time of year on Thursday, will drop significantly on Friday and will rise slightly on Saturday.
