Yannis Voglis' Awards Found in the Trash

Three awards belonging to the actor Yannis Voglis were found in a recycling bin in Pallini and are now being sold on an online marketplace. The man who found them calls them a “second chance” and offers them at a low price, expressing the opinion that the actor's family did not want them. The most expensive award, from Chania and created by sculptor Panagiotis Tzafolias, is being sold for 75 euros. The other two awards, from the Drama Short Film Festival and the Hellenic Canadian Congress of B.C., are being sold for 25 euros each. Along with the awards, other personal items of the actor were also found, which are being sold together for 65 euros. Yannis Voglis' son, Roberto Goglis, stated that he was unaware of the fate of the awards, which had been moved to storage after his father's death in 2016. However, he assured that the actor's historical archive is safe and fully preserved. The fact that the awards of a great actor were found in the trash is surprising and thought-provoking, while the effort of the man who found them to give them a new life, through the sale, is commendable.
