Patient Airdropped from Ship South of Limassol

A patient was airdropped from a ship located 125 nautical miles south of Limassol, following the activation of the National Air Evacuation Plan “NEARCHOS”. The operation was carried out by a helicopter from the Police Air Operations Unit, with the participation of a specialized nurse from the OCYPΥ air evacuation team. The patient was safely transported to the General Hospital of Nicosia, where he will receive further treatment. The air evacuation operation was successful and completed at 08:30.
