Independent Body: Proposal for Disclosure of Donors Over 20,000 - First Lady's Resignation Confirmed

The Independent Social Support Agency is at the center of a scandal regarding its funding, resulting in the announcement of the resignation of the First Lady, Philippa Karsera Christodoulides. The Agency's Management Committee expressed its regret over the First Lady's decision and asked her to reconsider, as they believe her departure will negatively affect the Agency's work. However, the First Lady insisted on her decision, emphasizing the need to ensure the continuation of scholarships for students. The Committee proposed to the Minister of Finance the disclosure of donors over €20,000, subject to their consent, otherwise the contribution will not be accepted. Furthermore, it categorically denies unfounded allegations aimed at undermining the Agency's work and credibility.
