First Ski Slope Opens at Troodos

The first ski slope at Troodos, Sun Valley I (Aphrodite), will open to the public on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The decision was made following recent snowfall, which provided sufficient depth and quality of snow for the safe operation of the slope. However, the remaining slopes do not have enough snow, and their reopening is uncertain as no significant snowfall is expected soon. Additionally, the lift on the North Face slope will operate daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but only for walking and enjoying the views. Skiing on this particular slope will not be permitted. The management of the Troodos Ski Center is closely monitoring weather conditions and will inform the public of any changes to the condition of the slopes and facilities. Ski and snowboard enthusiasts are expected to visit the Sun Valley I slope to enjoy their first runs of the season, while others can take advantage of the lift operation to take a walk in the mountains and admire the winter landscape.
