Trump Shields Erdogan-Netanyahu from Conflict: “They Won’t Clash”

Donald Trump, in a display of personal diplomacy, moved to defuse tensions between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump stated he would discuss with Netanyahu the possibility of deploying Turkish troops in Gaza, as part of an international stabilization force. He expressed confidence that the two leaders would not clash, as they maintain good relationships with each other. Furthermore, Trump reiterated his appreciation for Erdogan's role in destabilizing extremist groups in Syria and left open the possibility of selling F-35 fighter jets to Turkey.
