Cyprus Parliament Speaker Criticizes Government Response to Controversial Video

The President of the House of Representatives and President of DISY, Annita Dimitriou, is revisiting the issue of the video that has caused a political earthquake in Cyprus, expressing strong anger and disappointment. She accuses the government of underestimating the intelligence of citizens and of failing to address the institutional and political damage being caused to the country. Ms. Dimitriou stated that she expected immediate political decisions from the government, such as taking responsibility, initiating investigative procedures, publishing contributions regarding the Fund of the Organization, and making drastic changes to its operation. She warns that if bold decisions are not taken, the disgrace will continue and Cyprus will be further exposed.
