Livestock Units Suspended in Pergamon Due to Illegal Activity

The operation of eleven livestock units in Pergamon has been suspended following a decision by the Veterinary Services. This decision was made to prevent the movement of milk from units operating illegally in the Dead Zone and British Bases to dairies in the free areas. The Director-General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Andreas Grigoriou, stated that the suspension will remain in effect until the completion of inspections and the issuance of the investigation report. The aim is to determine the compliance of the units with Cypriot legislation, while some unregistered livestock units have also been identified. The investigation focuses on illegal activity and food safety.
