Cyprus Joins Global Education Initiative for Sustainability: "Become a Member of the FBI: Forest Research Office"

The Cypriot Marine Environment Protection Association (CYMEPA) has been recognized in an international competition and secured funding from the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) for the 'Learning about Ecosystems and Forests' (LEAF) program. CYMEPA was one of four countries (Cyprus, Argentina, Malaysia, Armenia) selected for the 'Ecosystems Restoration Education' (ERE) project. The 'Become a Member of the FBI: Forest Research Office' program will mobilize educators and students through forest research, restoration competitions, school gardening programs, and digital resources. The aim is to connect forest exploration with healthy living and sustainability. The funding amounts to €5,000. Cyprus's selection highlights the quality and innovation of CYMEPA's work and the country's ability to lead in education for sustainable development.
