ICE Arrests 5-Year-Old Boy in Minnesota After School

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has sparked controversy by arresting a 5-year-old boy in Minnesota as he was returning home from school with his father. The incident, which occurred in front of their house, is one of four reported in the same school district in two weeks. Witnesses state that ICE agents used the boy, Liam, as bait to determine if other family members were present at the residence. The father and son were taken to a detention center in Texas, while Liam's older brother returned home from school to find the house empty. The family has an active asylum case and entered the U.S. legally, with no deportation order in place. The school condemned the arrest, while a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security claimed the operation targeted the father and that the child's safety was a priority.
