Different Speeds in Managing Non-Performing Loans

New data from the European Banking Authority (EBA), processed by Scope Ratings, shows that the problem of non-performing loans (NPLs) in Europe has been significantly reduced. Although not completely eliminated, the situation no longer poses a systemic threat to economic stability. The improvement is due to coordinated efforts by banks and governments to manage and restructure loans. However, Scope Ratings points out that differences remain in the speed at which various countries are addressing the problem, with some making more progress than others. Continued monitoring and the implementation of effective strategies are essential for the final resolution of the issue.
