Free Pan-Cypriot Training for More Inclusive Healthcare

The European-funded Safe-R project is offering free training sessions for healthcare professionals and students across Cyprus, aiming to enhance inclusive healthcare provision for LGBTQI+ individuals. The training will cover topics related to sexual orientation, gender identity, and practical skills for delivering non-discriminatory services. Healthcare professionals will receive certification with internationally recognized continuing education units, while students will gain valuable knowledge and skills before entering the workforce. The training sessions will be held in Limassol, Larnaca, Nicosia, and Paphos, with separate dates for professionals and students. Participation is free, but spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested individuals are encouraged to register through the Safe-R project website. The educational content is based on the Guide to Inclusive Healthcare Services for LGBTQI+ Individuals and the research report of the Safe-R project. This initiative aims to create a safer and more supportive healthcare environment for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. The Safe-R project recognizes the need for specialized training in the healthcare sector to address the discrimination and prejudice that LGBTQI+ individuals may face when accessing healthcare services. By providing the appropriate tools and knowledge, the project seeks to improve the quality of care and ensure equitable access to healthcare for all.
