Clashes erupted in Limassol following the Apollon-APOEL derby, resulting in two arrests of fans and injuries to two police officers. According to the Police, APOEL supporters attacked officers as they were leaving the stadium, leading to the use of tear gas and a riot control vehicle. A 23-year-old was arrested for insulting a police officer, while a 25-year-old was arrested for assaulting and insulting a member of the force. Both injured police officers were taken to hospital for examinations, with one receiving discharge after treatment for a hand injury. Minor damage was also caused to a patrol car. Police investigations are ongoing to fully clarify the events.
