Arson of Two Vehicles in Limassol – Belonged to the Owner Outside His Home

Two vehicles were set on fire in the early hours of the morning in Limassol, in an open parking area outside the owner's home. The Fire Service, both of the Republic of Cyprus and the British Bases, responded immediately to the incident and managed to extinguish the flames. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage. According to Fire Service Spokesman Andreas Kettis, hoses and breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire. The scene was cordoned off and an investigation was launched to determine the cause of the fire. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was the result of malicious intent, i.e. arson. Authorities are investigating all possible angles to identify the perpetrators and their motives.
