Male Body Found on Rhodes Beach Near Group of 33 Migrants

A male body was discovered on Gennadi beach in Rhodes, in an area where 33 migrants were also found. The Coast Guard was alerted to the presence of the migrants and immediately dispatched personnel to the scene, where they located the body on land. The identity of the man is currently unknown, and the body has been transferred to the morgue of Rhodes General Hospital for forensic examination. Simultaneously, the Greek Police located a total of 33 migrants in the wider area, including eight men, twelve women, and thirteen minors. The migrants are being held for the necessary procedures. The exact connection between the discovery of the body and the presence of the migrants is under investigation. The Central Port Authority of Rhodes has taken over the preliminary investigation of the case. It has ordered a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death of the man.
