Visit to Cyprus by a Delegation of German MPs

A delegation of German MPs, members of the Committee for European Union Affairs, will visit Cyprus to discuss the program and priorities of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU. The visit, organized by the German Embassy in Nicosia, aims to strengthen relations between Cyprus and Germany. The delegation consists of MPs from various German parties, including the SPD, CDU/CSU, AfD, the Greens, and Die Linke. They will hold talks with the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives, as well as with the Permanent Secretary for European Affairs, Haris Christodoulides. In addition, they will meet with representatives of the economic sector and civil society. The aim is to exchange views and better understand the challenges and opportunities presented during the Cypriot Presidency. The German Embassy states that close cooperation and regular exchange of views between Cypriot and German MPs are of utmost importance, given the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU.
