5.6% Year-on-Year Increase in Fuel Sales in November

Total fuel sales in Cyprus increased by 5.6% in November 2025, reaching 119,953 tons, according to the Statistical Service of Cyprus. This increase is mainly attributed to supplies of oil to ships (97.4%) and airplanes (27.5%), as well as sales of asphalt (42.8%), gas oil (1.9%), and gasoline (0.4%). Conversely, sales of light and heavy fuel oil (-44.6% and -39.4% respectively), kerosene (-39.8%), heating oil (-22.2%), and liquefied petroleum gas (-18.3%) decreased. Sales from fuel stations fell by 5.0% to 55,670 tons. On a monthly basis, total sales in November 2025 decreased by 15.3% compared to October of the same year. This decrease was observed in supplies of oil to airplanes (-40.0%), gasoline sales (-12.4%), and gas oil sales (-10.0%). However, during the period January – November 2025, total fuel sales increased by 4.8% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Total fuel reserves at the end of November 2025 increased by 3.3% compared to the end of the previous month.
