Zelenskyy on Putin: 'He is my enemy, but I would talk to him'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he would be willing to talk with Vladimir Putin, despite considering him an enemy, in order to address the issue of territories and understand the reasons behind Russia's invasion. He emphasized that such a conversation would be necessary to prevent a third world war, although he does not trust Putin. Zelenskyy also noted a standstill in the growth of Russian military forces, as the number of mobilized personnel now equals the number of losses. Based on this assessment, he expressed hope that the war could end in 2026, provided Russia does not proceed with further mobilization. However, shortly after, Putin signed a decree to conscript 261,000 citizens in 2026.
