Zelensky: Peace Deal '90% Ready' But 10% Will Determine Ukraine's Fate

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that a peace agreement with Russia is 90% complete, but the remaining 10% is critical for the outcome of the war, Ukraine's security, and European stability. He emphasized that Ukraine desires peace but will not accept a deal at any cost, demanding strong security guarantees to prevent future Russian attacks. According to Zelensky, Russia seeks to annex Donbas and other regions, but Ukraine doubts the sincerity of Russian intentions, fearing that Russia will not stop at the Donbas region even if Ukrainian forces withdraw. He described Russia's offer to withdraw from Donbas as a deception. The Trump administration is reportedly attempting to mediate a peace deal, considering the positions of both sides. However, reaching consensus remains difficult, particularly regarding the status of Ukraine's eastern regions. Currently, Russian forces occupy approximately 19% of Ukrainian territory. The situation remains unstable, and the outcome of negotiations is uncertain, with the future of Ukraine and Europe hanging on this critical 10% of the agreement.
