Zelensky: Russian Attacks with 1,700 Drones and 69 Missiles in One Week

Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of launching massive attacks on Ukraine over the past week, using more than 1,700 drones, 1,380 guided aerial bombs and 69 missiles. The targets of the attacks are the energy sector, critical infrastructure and residential buildings. Zelensky stressed the need for a daily supply of missiles for air defense systems and continued cooperation with the United States and Europe to strengthen the protection of Ukraine's skies. Russia has intensified its bombing of Ukraine's energy system since the start of the invasion in 2022. In Kyiv, about 1,700 apartment buildings remain without heating after a Russian attack. Yesterday, a large-scale attack on Ukraine's energy system left about 1.2 million properties without power across the country, amid polar temperatures. The Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister, Oleksiy Kuleba, said that heating had been restored to more than 1,600 buildings in Kyiv, but work continued to restore services to the remaining homes.
