Donald Trump unveiled his plan for a “New Gaza” on Thursday, which would transform the devastated Palestinian enclave into a luxury skyscraper complex on the beach, a project he claims could be completed in three years. The plan was presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where Trump emphasized his experience in real estate. His son-in-law, Jared Kushner, argued that the project would be hugely successful and offer enormous investment opportunities. The plan envisages investments of $25 billion to rebuild the infrastructure and public services of the Palestinian territory. Kushner estimates that in 10 years, Gaza's GDP could reach $10 billion, with the average household income reaching $13,000. However, the plan has sparked controversy, as many question its feasibility in such an unstable environment. Furthermore, it is unclear how the complete disarmament of Hamas, considered essential to attract investment and create a safe environment, will be ensured.
