Fatal Accident in Paphos: Vehicle Plunges into Ravine

A 31-year-old man, Stylianos Genis, died in a fatal car accident in Paphos early this morning. Stylianos and a 35-year-old friend were in the mountainous area between Pentalia and Anargiris to train their hunting dogs. The 35-year-old had exited the vehicle, while Stylianos was driving on a dirt road when he lost control and the car fell into a ravine. Police and Fire Department personnel rescued the driver, who was transported to Paphos General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The cause of the accident is under investigation, with a possible cause being soil subsidence due to rain.
