The Cypriot art world mourns the loss of visual artist Koula Savvidou, who passed away today at the age of 69. Born in London but raised in Limassol, Savvidou left behind a significant and poetic body of work, exploring themes of time, memory, and transformation. She was known for her quiet generosity and ability to build trusting relationships. She studied at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon and participated in numerous exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad, including the Biennale of Young Artists in Europe and the Mediterranean in Barcelona and the Alexandria Biennale.
