Cyprus is expected to be affected by a drop in temperature, strengthened winds up to 8 Beaufort, rain, and snow in the mountains, according to the Meteorological Department. The warning is in effect from today, Friday, with winds already strong in Paphos and expected to become widespread across the island. Moderate rainfall and localized thunderstorms are expected, with snowfall anticipated on the highest peaks of the Troodos Mountains. Temperatures will range between 15-17 degrees Celsius, with a greater drop in the mountains where the maximum temperature will reach 4 degrees Celsius. Saturday will see a slight rise in temperature and a temporary weakening of the winds, but rain will continue. On Sunday, the wind field will strengthen again, with rain, isolated thunderstorms, and snow in the mountains. The same situation will prevail on Monday, with the addition of a cold air mass.
