Flu and Viruses Strain Hospitals - Public Hospitals at 90% Capacity

Public hospitals in Cyprus are facing significant pressure due to the increase in cases of seasonal viruses, such as coronavirus and RSV. Hospital occupancy has reached 90%. Unfortunately, the first death attributed to influenza A has also been recorded. At the same time, there is increased traffic in the offices of personal doctors, indicating the widespread spread of viruses in the population. This situation requires increased preparedness and preventive measures to limit the further spread of viruses and protect public health.
