Serious Allegations Against Doctor at Limassol Hospital

Sixteen doctors from Limassol General Hospital have submitted signed complaints to the Cyprus Organisation of State Health Services (OKYPY) regarding the conduct of a colleague. The allegations concern refusal to work shifts, uncollegial behaviour, intimidation, and patient management. According to the complaints, the doctor repeatedly refuses to respond to calls for patients of his specialty, even when persistent, leaving his colleagues to manage the cases alone. He is also accused of rude behaviour and issuing telephone instructions for the discharge of patients without examining them himself. In a separate complaint, it is alleged that the doctor has prepared pre-signed admission forms to avoid personal attendance at the hospital. Other doctors report intimidation and arbitrary decisions regarding leave, while in one specific incident, he is said to have forcibly removed colleagues from his office in a threatening manner. The complainants are calling for immediate intervention and investigation into violations of medical ethics.
