A new incident of violence occurred at a Gymnasium in Larnaca, Cyprus, when a student assaulted a teacher. The president of the Confederation of Parents' Associations of Secondary Education, Loizos Konstantinou, stated that the investigation process has begun and the prescribed regulations will be followed. He emphasized that physical violence is unacceptable behavior, especially against a teacher. Mr. Konstantinou expressed his regret that violence has reached this point and condemned all forms of violence. He stressed that teachers have the right to file complaints about any grievances students or parents may have, but they should not be subjected to physical assault under any circumstances. This incident adds to the increase in violence in schools in Cyprus, which is causing concern among parents and teachers.
