No admission of charges by Tamasos and Varnavas regarding video from Avvakoum Monastery

The Metropolitan of Tamasos and Oreini, Isaiah, and the monk Varnavas did not admit charges regarding the circulation of video from the cameras of the Holy Monastery of Saint Avvakoum. The charges relate to a possible violation of personal data. The case has been set to be re-heard on May 12, 2026, when the substantive examination will begin. The case originated after an investigation by the former Commissioner for the Protection of Personal Data, Irene Loizidou Nikolaidou, regarding the leak of video from areas of the Monastery that should not have been recorded.
