Finance Minister Heads to Brussels for Eurogroup and ECOFIN

Finance Minister Makis Keravnos will travel to Brussels to participate in the Eurogroup meeting and preside over the ECOFIN Council on January 19th and 20th. Discussions will focus on the Eurozone's economic policy priorities, an update on Bulgaria's Euro adoption process, and France's priorities for 2026. Revised Recovery and Resilience Plans for several countries will be adopted, along with an assessment of the economic impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The meeting will also address candidates for the Vice-President of the European Central Bank and initiate an excessive deficit procedure for Finland.
