President Christodoulides Outlines Government Priorities: Five Pillars of Governance

President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, presented his government's five key priorities through his New Year's message. These pillars are: an outward-looking foreign policy with a strong emphasis on defense, strengthening the economy, modernizing the state through reforms, transparency and combating corruption, and improving the daily lives of citizens. The Christodoulides administration is based on social liberalism, seeking a state that is both socially sensitive and friendly to businesses and economic development. The President emphasized the government's determination to implement its program, which he characterized as a "Social Contract" with the Cypriot people. The assessment of the work done so far confirms the consistency of words and deeds, according to him. Particular emphasis was placed on addressing migration, strengthening the country's deterrent power, and establishing a rule of law state. The government is committed to simplifying procedures and transparency in the management of public affairs. President Christodoulides expressed his satisfaction with the economic performance of Cyprus, which is characterized by full employment, zero inflation, a reduction in public debt, and continuous upgrades from international rating agencies. These results, according to the President, translate into benefits for citizens and the country.
