Dutch Foreign Minister: Trump's Tariff Threats are 'Blackmail'

The Dutch Foreign Minister, David van Weel, has described US President Donald Trump's threat to impose new tariffs on European countries as “blackmail”. Trump threatened 10% tariffs on goods from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Finland and the United Kingdom unless they agree to sell Greenland to the US. Van Weel disagreed with linking diplomacy regarding Greenland to trade, while ambassadors from the 27 EU member states are holding an emergency meeting to discuss their response.
