Two pedestrians, a man and a woman, were injured on Saturday afternoon in Paphos after being struck by a passing vehicle on Apostle Paul Avenue. The incident occurred around 3:00 PM, as the two individuals were alighting from a bus and attempting to cross the road. According to reports, the driver of the vehicle was attempting to overtake from the right, resulting in the pedestrians being hit. Ambulances were called to the scene and transported the injured to Paphos General Hospital for treatment and further examination. Before the arrival of the ambulances, two doctors who were nearby provided first aid. The police cordoned off the area to investigate the circumstances of the accident. The health condition of the injured remains unknown at this time. The incident highlights the need for caution and adherence to traffic rules, by both drivers and pedestrians.
