Extension Until January 14th for VAT and INTRASTAT Declarations

The Tax Department has announced an extension of the deadline for submitting the VAT Declaration and paying the VAT due, as well as the INTRASTAT Declaration. The new deadline is January 14, 2025, giving taxpayers additional time to fulfill their obligations. The extension applies to the VAT Declaration for the tax period ending November 30, 2024, and the INTRASTAT Declaration for the month of December 2024. After January 14, 2025, declarations will be considered late and financial penalties will be imposed. The penalties for late submission of the VAT Declaration are €100, while for late payment of VAT due, an additional tax of 10% of the amount due is provided. Late submission of the INTRASTAT Declaration carries a financial penalty of €15. The Tax Department urges taxpayers to comply with the new deadline in order to avoid additional fines and charges.
