Road Problems in the Mountains Due to Weather – Vehicles Stranded

Serious problems have arisen on the roads leading to Troodos due to adverse weather conditions, with low temperatures and frost. Several vehicles have been stranded on the Platron – Troodos and Kato Amiantos – Karvounas roads, while efforts are being made to remove them. In addition, rockfalls have been observed on the Prodromou – Troodos road, making the situation even more dangerous. Police advise drivers to be particularly careful and avoid traveling in the area unless absolutely necessary.
