President of Cyprus Continues Official Visit to Bahrain - Embassy Inaugurated

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, is continuing his official visit to Bahrain. The focus of the visit is on strengthening bilateral relations at the political, strategic, and economic levels, as emphasized by the President during his meeting with King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa. During the visit, the President inaugurated the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Manama and participated in a business forum. Furthermore, significant agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between Cyprus and Bahrain. These include an agreement on the mutual recognition of higher education qualifications, as well as memoranda in the areas of military cooperation, diplomacy, education, research and rescue, culture, antiquities, handicrafts, and tourism. A cooperation agreement between the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry was also signed. President Christodoulides met with officials from Bahrain's Investment Fund to explore potential investment opportunities. The meeting took place in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance of Bahrain. The visit is considered important for the further development of relations between the two countries. The President is accompanied on the visit by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Energy, the Government Spokesperson, the Deputy Minister to the President, the National Security Advisor, the Director of his Diplomatic Office, and other officials, underlining the importance given to strengthening cooperation with Bahrain.
